Quicken and Internet Explorer

Quicken requires Internet Explorer and I cannot find it available for a mac download

    You mean Quicken Online, I'm assuming. Microsoft stopped making IE for Mac many years ago. Even when they did, it usually didn't support Windows-only IE features like the ones Quicken online needed. There are plenty of online competitors to Quicken that work on Mac, you should support them.
