To-Do item sync between iCal & iPhone?

Gary,

Am I missing something? I’ve noticed that iCal doesn’t sync To-Dos with iPhone.

When I look in iCal, there’s nothing there. I’ve even tried 3rd party apps. These sync perfectly between the app and iCal, even creating a Task calendar which shows up on my iphone… with nothing in it.

Would you know of a work-around to have to-dos show up in a calendar on my iPhone like birthdays and subscription calendars do?

Thanks

— Michelle

If I remember correctly, there is just no place in the iPhone's calendar app for to-do items to show up. Most people use 3rd-party apps like Evernote. I use Google Tasks myself, so my whole to-do list is in the cloud, and it looks good on the iPhone.

I did find one way to do it, but it is not a very good solution. If you use an IMAP server or MobileMe, you can create a to-do item in Mail on your Mac that is then seen in Mail on the iPhone under a mailbox titled "Apple Mail To Do" or something similar. You can't create them on the iPhone as far as I can tell, and they can't be viewed in a very friendly way.
