The space bar does not wake my mac up when in sleep mode.
Tried all the keys, what else can I do?

Pressing the spacebar should wake your Mac up from sleep. If not, then something may be wrong. The only reason I can think of is if it is a MacBook using the battery and the battery is almost empty. Otherwise, I would say something is wrong.
I have the new 27" I-Mac. I don't log outI leave the mac to sleep on it's own with the last page left on. What do you think it might be? Thank you for all your help.
I've never seen that happen -- at least not on a consistent basis. Try it with no applications running -- let the Mac go to sleep and see if you can wake it up. If that still doesn't work, try removing things from your Login Items to see if a background process is doing it. If it still doesn't wake up even with no background processes and applications, then you might want to have someone take a look at it (Genius Bar).
