Search In for a Specific Phrase Between Two Dates In Mac Mail?

How to Search for a specific word or phrase between specific dates in Mac Mail. I have tried “date:01/06/23-01/01/23” but that fails. However if I just want to find an email on one specific date I succeed. “date:01/06/23”. But what I really want to do is to locate a specific word or phrase between two dates. Is there a way to do that?

I have a been issued with a Data Subject Access Request(DSAR)by a legal authority about a complaint and it would be so much easier if I could use a specific search between two dates. I have been given search terms that I must use, e.g. “Grievance”

Type the earlier date, like 1/1/2023. Then in the menu below select "January 1, 2023." Then you get "DATE January 1, 2023" as the search. Change DATE to AFTER.

Now type after that the later date, like 1/6/2023. Then in the menu below select "January 6, 2023." Then you get "DATE January 6, 2023" as the search. Change DATE to BEFORE.

You may want to choose the date one day earlier and one day later, so 12/31/2022 and 1/7/2023 so that AFTER and BEFORE will get you what you want.

Then type your word after that.

Note that if you use Gmail, you may be better off using the advanced search features on the Gmail website instead. Other website email interfaces may have advanced search too.

If you do it in Mail, you may want to instead use Mailbox, New Smart Mailbox... and create this as a Smart Mailbox. Then you can always alter the conditions of the Smart Mailbox to perform different searches.
