Sonoma changes a few things in both the simple Keyboard dictation and Accessibility Voice Control dictation. Gone is the floating button, there are better ways to correct words, and it is better at finding alternate words and there is now a tutorial.

If a YouTube video is too fast or too slow, you can change the playback speed in the video settings or using keyboard shortcuts. You can also easily jump back 10 seconds to see or hear something again.

Been keeping track of the new things in iOS 17 for the iPhone and created this list. In the (long) video I go through it with my thoughts and showing some of the features. Attached is the list in RTF form in case you want to use it when you upgrade your iPhone. I expect iOS 17 to come out later this week or next.

Instead of using iMovie travel maps, you can create an animated travel map using any background map you have and trace a detailed route onto it. This tutorial will also teach you some basic Keynote animation techniques. You can even add a graphic or icon to follow the path.

If you need to search a site for text as you are writing, this Shortcut will cut out many steps. I use it all day long to get links to my own videos.

You can choose whether the Menu Bar on your Mac is always visible, or will hide when you aren't using it. The setting for this recognizes the difference between using a Desktop space or a Full Screen space, so it is important to understand Mission Control as well.

It is frustrating that there is no easy way to select a folder and get a list of folders and files with indentations to show which files are in which folders. But with TextEdit and a couple of Replace All commands, you can do it.
