Trying to create a formula in a cell which needs to have “1/96”, however, Numbers converts the “/” to a “➗” symbol. How can I avoid this? I tried going to Numbers > Preferences > Auto Correction > toggling Automatically Format Fractions on and off.
When required to enter a specific formula, Microsoft Excel allows the ability to use “/” to utilize a fraction, however, Apple Numbers does not. Fractions in this particular formal seem to be required.

You you'd need to do is to use the Fractions format for the cell. You can get to it by selecting the cell(s) and choosing Format, Cell in the sidebar and then set the Data Format to Fraction.
Now you should be able to type something like 1/96 and you'll see 1/96 in the cell.
See https://macmost.com/10-useful-numbers-cell-formatting-examples.html for an example. It is the last one at the end of the video.
How can I create fractions such as 1/64 or 324/13,000 ?
Peter: See the comment above yours. There I have a link to a video that shows you how.
