I swear I remember an episode on this in the past. A friend is trying to capture a single snapshot from a video movie. Can anyone point me to the correct episode? Or am I imagining things, LOL?

I don't think I've ever done an episode specifically on that. Here's how to do it in iMovie.
Position the cursor over the frame you want in the project area (not the events clips at the bottom). Ctrl+click or right+click and choose "Add Freeze Frame." This will insert a freeze frame into the project, splitting the clip in two with the freeze frame between them. Ctrl+click on the freeze frame and select "Reveal in Finder." There it is.
This only works up to a point. Working in the project zone, I made the 'Freeze Frame". When I control click on the freeze frame there is no choice of reveal in finder.
Thanks! I'll pass along the information.
thanks
Thanks so much for the info!
I have the same problem as Toni Hayashi. I can get the still image ok, but when I try to reveal in finder, that option isn't available? Any suggestions? I'm on OSX 10.7.3 and imovie version 9.0.4. Cheers
