online backup

Hi Gary
having external hard drives and so on are still not that safe for backing up. they always could crash in the end.
i know there is iDisk, but 20GB is not that enough for me.
do u recommend any online service that could help me backup my most important files and data online so i could access them anywhere and i could rest assured that they are safe. my photos and music are the most important things i have, especially my photos and i don’t know what will bhappen to me if i lost them.
they are backed up through out 2 mac and 2 external hard drvies but still having something extra will always be good

thanks
hsn

I don't use any online service because I make video. I would need terabytes, not gigabytes. Even if some company offered TB at a decent rate, it would take forever to do backups.
I deal with it by doing 2 backups: a regular Time Machine backup (constantly) and a second backup to an external drive(s) that I then store off-site. So I really have 3 copies of everything. I use SuperDuper to do the second backup.

Is SuperDuper better and easier to use than Carbon Copy Cloner? CCC is free, worth it pay for SuperDuper?

I like them both. I just like SuperDuper a bit better. Some nice features that work well with the process I like to follow.
I think they both cost something, unless you are using the trial.
