The big move

Gary,
I need to move itunes music, video, apps etc. from my computer and iphone to a temporary storage area as I am leaving my current company and it may be weeks until I acquire a new mac and iphone and dare I say an I pad. What is the best way to do this?

BTW I have been spreading the word. This is the best Mac resource I have come across since using apple products. Thanks

Well, for the iPhone data, I would just make sure you have it all on your Mac: photos, contacts, calendar, music, etc. Then just worry about your Mac's data. I'd move everything you think is important (documents, music, photos, etc) to a drive so you can import it fresh into a new Mac. But, as a backup, I'd get another drive and clone your Mac's drive on to it. USe SuperDuper! or Carbon Copy Cloner. That way, if you forgot something, then you know you have it somewhere.
Then I'd start fresh on a new Mac, just copying files that you need to it.

I have already copied the entire hard drive to a Lacie external hard drive. Should that do it?
Iva also copies my I photo library.
