In that same location you can choose to shuffle by song, album or group. If you are viewing a playlist or an album or an artist you get a shuffle button right next to the play button in the main window area. So it is just when you view your entire collection at once (all albums, all songs, etc) that you don’t have an obvious shuffle button. But you could always create a smart playlist of all of your songs and then go there if you want a button. Gary M 7 years ago Thanks Gary It’s just that in iTunes 10 when in albums you could shuffle direct all tracks, but have found that if I shuffle from tracks/songs that does the trick. Mark 7 years ago Here’s how: do NOT use the button up top. Make sure that is gray. Then: Controls>Shuffle>By Album. It will play from your entire library. Hope this helps! Gary Rosenzweig 7 years ago iTunes is the same between Mac and Windows. Try that suggestion. Or, just select what you want to shuffle (an album, an artist, etc) and Shuffle that.
