Forum Question: How Do I Specify Adobe Flash Player To Run My Videos?

iMac 21.5″ Late 2012; OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.5; Adobe Flash Player 22.00.192
When I try to choose an app to open an mp4 video, the choices I am given don’t include Adobe Flash Player, which is what I need. When I search for an app of that name, I don’t find it anywhere.
Background: When I tried earlier to open a video I accidentally clicked on one of the choices given in the menu, and now I can’t undo that choice.

What do you mean by “the choices I am given?” Where, exactly, did you see that? Was it in Safari? Somewhere else? It sounds like you were clicking on a file, maybe? You wouldn’t use the Flash Player (a browser plugin) to play an mp4 video file.
Typically, you don’t get a choice like that if you are viewing regular video on a web page. But perhaps a specific site you were on gave you that choice. Is this on a specific site?

For the sake of others who will find this page, what did you do that solved your problem?
