How Do I Stop My iPad From Ringing When I Get Phone Calls?

Hi Gary, this is most annoying… every time my iPhone rings, my iPad rings also, and, interrupts any program I’m running at that time. Being a musician, I read charts on my gigs. I also get a lot of robot calls and soliciting calls. If my iPhone rings while I’m playing a song, reading my chart, the chart disappears until the phone stops ringing. It comes back when I don’t answer it, but I loose my chart for the duration of the ringing.
I’ve looked all over the controls in my iPad to try to get it to stop ringing every time the iPhone does but have been totally unsuccessful.
This started a while back with an update to my iPad.
Please help me figure this out, and thank you very much…
Joe

If you just want to turn this functionality off completely, go to Settings, FaceTime, and turn off Calls From iPhone. Then also turn off any "You Can Be Reached by FaceTime At" if you want to prevent FaceTime calls too.

Alternatively, you can use Do No Disturb by dragging down from the top right corner of your screen and tapping that button (looks like a moon). This will silence other notifications as well.
