How To Protect the Spreadsheet With Password When Exported From Numbers To Excel?

As said in title, I would like to export the number spreadsheet to excel and the same to be shared with password protected.

Is it possible to achieve it on iPhone or iPad ?

I don't think so. It would need to be an option in the Excel export, which it isn't.

One idea is to store the document in iCloud Drive (if it isn't already) and then share (collaborate) with others using iCloud Drive. Even if they are on Windows, they can still view and even edit the document using the web version of Numbers. They would need an iCloud account, of course, or you wouldn't be able to invite them to collaborate. But that doesn't cost anything.

If you are working with people using Excel, not Numbers, then you could always get the Excel app and use that. I think you need a Microsoft account to save documents or share them. I assume the Excel app has the ability to do protect the document.

You could also use Google Docs instead. I think that has the ability to protect documents, or at least only allow access to people you specify using Google accounts.
