i get so much email that i would like to set up the email only to be downloaded every 3 or 4 hours, just as i have set it up on my imac.
is this possible on an ipad pro ?

Go to Settings, Accounts & Passwords, Fetch New Data. Under there you can set overall settings for all accounts, or individual settings too. You can only go to hourly, 15 minutes or 30 minutes. But you can also select "Manually" to have it only when you want it.
