After jailbreaking my iPad, I can no longer turn it off in spite of concurrently holding down the two buttons.

I use TimeMachine on a TimeCapsule for my backups.
I also have all my ITunes Media on a different external drive as it is too large to keep on my MacBook Harddrive.

I have in iphoto 09, about 30 gig’s of photos and I think its bogging things down when I try to open it. It tends to slow on edit also and wonder if it is related to how many photos.
