Hi Gary, I am writing in regard to the data stored on the Time Capsule. I just installed my Time Capsule 2 T and I have the following questions: a) In the event that the TIME capsule has been lost, the data can be extracted, that is not encrypted?. b) Within the time capsule, Can I open a folder read-only for certain teams?.
Thank you very much and greetings

You can choose to encrypt your backup when you first started doing them. There was a checkbox for "encrypt backup." You can go to System Preferences, Time Machine and choose the disk all over again and select that option. That will start a new backup and you can then choose to encrypt it.
Not sure what you mean by question B. You shouldn't create or access folders directly inside your backup. If you need to have a shared space for computers on your network, you should get another drive and attach that to your Time Capsule. Don't try to use your backup drive for something other than backups.
