Hi Garry
I have an imac at home that contains all my files that i would like to be able to use whilst on the road. I have read that you can set up the imac as a home server, enabling you to upload and download files to and from the imac using software such as Barracuda. Is this the best way of doing this and if not what is the best way of going about this set up,
thanks

I'm not familiar with "Barracuda." But if you simply turn on File Sharing you can log on to your Mac from elsewhere on another Mac and grab/send files.
The trouble is that if don't have a static IP address, you can't know "where" your home Mac is located on the Internet. A service like MobileMe's "Back to my Mac" will do that for you.
