What Needs To Be Done Before Selling an iMac To a Friend?

What needs to be done before selling our other iMac to a friend?
Hard drive was new in about 2011/12.

    Basically, you need to sign out of everything, erase your hard drive, then reinstall the OS so it is ready for them to complete setup with their own Apple ID when they get the Mac.
