Wife Lost Trash Can In Apple Mail and I Can’t Find It?

My wife lost the Trash can in her Apple Mail program and I can not find it. I can delete an email and then have the program empty the trash but I can not find the Trash can itself. How can I get it back?

Like most things that have to do with email, this really depends on your email service and also how you have things et up with that service.

I'm going to assume you are using iCloud since you have a me.com email address.

Try going to Mailbox, New Mailbox. Look through the Locations and see if, under iCloud, you see Trash or Deleted Messages. Select that and add it and see if the mailbox is returned to your sidebar.

It sounds like your wife just moved the Delete button/trash can icon off the toolbar. If so, go to View-->Customize Toolbar and either drag the can icon back to where you want it or choose the default toolbar layout.

If she somehow moved or removed the Trash folder in the Mailboxes list, try Mailbox-->Rebuild. It's obviously still there (on the server at least even if currently hidden) so that should put it back where you can see it.
