Back in 1993, my then-teacher wife created documents with a Symantec product called GreatWorks (contemporary of the original Clarisworks, which forced GreatWorks out of the market, I think). She needs to open those old files and my only idea, MacLinkPlus, costs about $80 list. Is there a cheaper alternative she might try?
Thanks.

So, basically, you need to convert GreatWorks documents. A search for that didn't turn up anything. Maybe you could try to open up the documents in a text editor to see if any of the text can be retrieved from the file? Text Wrangler is a free one.
