Adjust iPhone Flashlight Brightness

You can set your iPhone's flashlight brightness to low, medium or bright using 3D touch on a later model iPhone. You can also access the flashlight without unlocking your iPhone by using the button in the Magnifier function.

Video Transcript: Here's another useful 3D Touch feature. If you've got one of the latest models of iPhone and you're running iOS 10 you can use 3D Touch to adjust the brightness of the Flashlight.
So I'm going to swipe up from the bottom of the screen to activate Control Center. There I've got my Flashlight button. I can turn the flashlight on and turn it off by just tapping it.
But if I tap forcefully I get three settings: Bright, Medium, Low. I can choose one of those. Very useful because actually the flashlight is pretty bright now. If you just want to do something like say use it to read by you may want to do low light instead. It will be a little easier on the eyes. 
Whichever one you set it to it will remain there until you switch it to another one. 
Here's something else I find useful. Say you want to access your flashlight really quickly without unlocking your phone. Well, you can't bring up Control Center without unlocking the phone. But you can triple press the Home button to bring up the Magnifier.
With the Magnifier on you can press the light button at the bottom left. So it's a little bit easier and it gets you to the Flashlight without having to unlock your phone. Then you can turn it off. So it's one step less without unlocking. Very useful if you're wearing work gloves or something like that and you're trying to get some repairs done or something. You can do it even with gloves on. Triple tap, turn on the flashlight.

when I triple tap the home button as a way of being able to turn on the flashlite, I get apple pay screen!
Also, when I tap the flashlight icon forcefully, nothing happens about bright, medium, low... I have an iPhone 6+ and running 10.1.1

Robert: You need 3D Touch for this to work (aka Force Touch). That wasn't added to the hardware until the 6s.

With an iPhone 7, I had the setting to get the Wallet/Apple Pay screen after a double click. So I turned that off, and then tried the triple tap of the home button but nothing happened. When I search for "magnifier" on iPhone 7, nothing comes up. Has the Magnifier been removed from iOS 10.1.1? There are third party magnifier apps, but I didn't know there was supposed to be a built-in magnifier nor can I figure out how to access it.

Hello... same here... cannot access with a triple press on the home screen... everytime i do that... it takes me to the screen where i have to enter the actual passcode with the numbers... any specific setting needs to be changed?

Harold and Marin: The setting is Settings, General, Accessibility, Accessibility Shortcut. Make sure it is set to the first one, Magnifier.
Then, also check Settings, General, Accessibility, Magnifier. Make sure that is turned on.
