How Do I (or Can I Even) Insert a Table Inside a Text Box?

I’m working on a Pages project for someone based on a Word document. Within the Word document, there is a text box with a simple table, along with some regular text, inside of it.

In Pages, when I put my cursor inside the text box and select “Table” from the toolbar, it inserts the table outside of the text box.

Is there a way to insert a table inside a text box in Pages? And if so, how?

Just place them as separate elements and set the Text Wrap to none for both. Then place one on top of the other. Or, perhaps set it to none for the table and something for the box behind it. You can also then group them together so that they move as a single element when you are done entering the text.
