I am trying to print info to 3×5 cards. Front Only, Front and Back. Not sure what program and settings to use. Vertical or horizontal layout? Can I just put the 3×5 cards in the printer? I’d like to use this for flash cards in addition to study notes.

It really depends on the printer. Every printer has different capabilities when it comes to things like this.
Have you tried simply creating a Pages document, setting the size to a custom 3x5 in File, Page Setup, and then experimented? If it was me, I would try that and print some examples to see how it goes. Then adjust and print more. Repeat until I get something I like.
As for printing front and back, unless your printer does that you'll need to feed the card in a second time. That will take some trial and error too.
Thanks so much for the help and the super quick response. I set pages right margin to 2.75 and the bottom margin to 8 and that worked perfectly. Had to tape each 3x5 card to a piece of paper to get it to run through my printer properly but I go the job done.
