If you are using Snow Leopard, then you already have one: QuickTime X. See episode 288: http://macmost.com/quicktime-x-screen-recording.html
If you need more features, try Snapz Pro or ScreenFlow.

Ah. Well, if you are on an Intel Mac, then they could be reason enough to upgrade for $30 -- cheaper than most screen capture software.
